Football brings people together: teammates, supporters, families, whole communities. And this season, Movember is teaming up with Baller League UK to use that connection to help improve men’s health.
For the first half of Season 2, the Movember moustache will appear on the front of every Baller League shirt. But the partnership goes further than what’s on the kit. At each match-day, Movember will be present and actively involved - talking with players and fans, sharing practical tools and encouraging men to look after their wellbeing and look out for the people around them.
Movember and Baller League share a simple belief: When men feel supported, informed and able to talk openly, health outcomes improve.
Through this collaboration, we aim to:
• Create moments where players and fans feel comfortable opening up
• Help young men recognise when a mate might need support
• Build confidence around checking in on others
• Promote healthier habits on and off the pitch
Josh Trott, Movember’s Head of New Partnerships, says:
“Movember has always been about community and connection, and football is one of the most powerful ways to bring people together. We’re thrilled to partner with Baller League to encourage young men to prioritise their mental health and support their mates.”
Men’s mental health remains a serious issue in the UK:
• Suicide is the leading cause of death among men under 50
• Many men still feel unable to talk about how they’re doing
• Too often, support comes too late
Movember’s mission is to change this by funding programs, improving awareness, and helping men access support earlier. Partnering with Baller League means reaching younger audiences in a space where they already feel comfortable.
Fans, players, families, and communities can all be part of this.
This Movember, let’s take action. Unite to change the future of men’s health.
