Mo Awards: Celebrating service legends

Movember
4 minutes read time

To date, Movember has celebrated nine incredible winners of our UK and Europe’s legendary Services to the Mo award. It’s an accolade representing unmatched dedication to men’s health while remaining true to the cause.

The biggest question on everyone’s lips is who will take home the coveted tenth spot? But before we get there, let’s look back – to celebrate the legends, teams, and organisations who have shaped the Mo movement and taken home this elite award.

The historical winners:

Mike Maloney (2020)

Our inaugural winner, workplace ambassador Mike Maloney was recognised for his six-year strong support for Movember, generously giving up his time to hold talks and share his personal story to inspire others. In 2019, he raised a staggering £25,000; and if that wasn’t impressive enough, the total put Mike’s lifetime fundraising total over an incredible £100,000.

Now a 12-year Mo Bro, Mike still proudly grows a Mo each year raising tens of thousands of men’s health.

University of Exeter (2022)

They’ve held the title of “UK’s top fundraising university” year after year – and they’re home to a powerful Movember community. The University of Exeter’s commitment to men’s health is, in fact, so legendary, they’ve cemented themselves in the Movember Organisation Hall of Fame; raising a lifetime total that’s just a hair away from the one million pound mark.

Dave Goreham (2022)

In 2022, Legendary Mo Bro Dave Goreham marked his 11th year of supporting men’s health with the resolve of an ironman champion: completing an “ERG” triathlon every day for 30 consecutive days. Each challenge involved a 2,000m ski, 4,000m cycle, and 2,000m row.

Now 15 years into his Movember journey, Dave is still completing extraordinary challenges swapping pound coins for press ups; pumping out 10,213 reps to push his fundraising over the £100,000 mark!

Brian ‘the Terroriser’ Hanby (2023)

Despite the nickname, the Terroriser is actually a lovely bloke and all-round men’s health legend. Through his massive platform, Brian’s put Movember on the minds of millions of young people around the world.

A man who knows how to get the win, Brian used gaming as a trojan horse to open up conversations about the “hard stuff,” regularly checking in with his fans and encouraging everyone to look after themselves.

Along the way, he’s raised an incredible amount for Movember – racking up donations like top score points.

Philip Bloom (2023)

What a bloomin’ honour it is to have this man on our side. In 2023, Philip had been onboard the moustache bus for over 16 years, raising over a quarter of a million pounds for men’s health.

Year after year, he has brought together his loyal Bloom ’Tache supporters, sparking a movement with nothing more than the click of his camera. A picture is worth a thousand words, just like Philip’s support is worth a thousand thank yous.

Gillette (2024)

If there’s a big name out there unafraid to change the face of men’s health, it’s got to be Gillette. For over a decade, Gillette’s razors and shaving foams have been linked to Movember; kicking us off every year at shave downs and raising the style – and profile – of men's health worldwide.

For over 12 years, Gillette have been an incredible partner; undeniably, the best a Mo can get.

Bedford School (2024)

Movember isn’t just a one-month event at Bedford School. Because since 2010, it’s become a part of the school’s spirit all year round. Students, staff, parents and friends get behind the cause any chance they can. From hosting annual parody music video performances and dodgeball tournaments to raise funds for men’s health.

16 years in, Bedford School have just celebrated a lifetime total of over £232,000. We are beyond honoured to have had their A+ support.

Farnham Rugby Club (2025)

Six years into support Movember and Farnham Rugby Club haven’t slowed down one bit. In fact, they’ve done the opposite – growing stronger each year.

In 2025, club members took on a legendary 60km walk from Farnham to Twickenham; a journey that’s become a rite of passage for the boys at the club. On top of that, team members tackle individual challenges; one Farnham Mo Bro even ran 83km in the shape of a giant moustache in honour of the 83 men lost to suicide in Surrey each year.

On the fundraising side, the team keeps raising the bar – raising £250,000 since 2019.

Chris Minck (2025)

Our most recent individual winner, 14-year Mo Bro Chris Minck went above and beyond – and just kept going. Over the years, Chris has taken on countless challenges for the Mo including walking one metre for every pound raised. On paper, that sounds manageable. But when you consider Chris has raised over £165,000 for men’s health, it shows just how far he was willing to go to make a difference and spread the message of men’s health.

Inspired? We are for sure. All these people really have gone above and beyond in way's we could never imagine. We are grateful to have them in our Movember community. The true rock stars.

So, who will take home the legendary trophy this year? We’ll find out on March 5th 2026.
