Movember and ITN Business have launched “Men’s Health Matters” a news-style programme to mark Men's Health Week.
Anchored by presenter Simon Thomas from the ITN London Studios, ‘Men’s Health Matters’ raises awareness and understanding of the serious issues facing men’s health. The programme features an interview with Sarah Coghlan, Global Director of Men’s Health Promotion at Movember, sharing her thoughts on the changing landscape of men’s health, the top five things a man should know and do, and the work Movember are doing all year round to help men live longer, happier and healthier lives. Alongside a feature on Movember Conversations, a digital tool designed to give you the skills to handle tough conversations with the men in your life.
The programme also includes films and interviews from other organisations sharing their experiences, expertise and initiatives for championing men’s health and health literacy.
Michelle Terry, CEO, Movember said: “We are delighted to be collaborating with ITN Business to increase awareness and understanding of some of the most serious issues facing men’s health.
“Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men, while testicular cancer is the most common form of the disease in young men. Three out of four suicides are men and it remains the biggest cause of death for men under the age of 44.
“The work we do in raising awareness of the crisis in men’s health and funding innovative men’s health projects is fuelled by the passion and commitment of our Movember community. We look forward to the programme showcasing the work we are doing to improve outcomes for men’s health and ensure men live longer, healthier, happier lives.”
Nina Harrison-Bell, Head of Industry News, ITN Productions said: “We are delighted to partner with such a leading charity as Movember to create a programme that raises awareness of men’s health. We hope we provide a platform to address existing stigma, help shift perceptions and narrative and offer some practical guidance for men of all ages to help protect their future health.”
Combining expert interviews, news items, real-life case study reports and reporter led sponsored editorial profiles filmed on location, ‘Men’s Health Matters’ will launch on Monday 13th June 2022 and will be supported by an extensive marketing campaign spearheaded by Movember and supported by ITN Business.
