Movember: Changing the face of men's health

Movember
2 minutes read time

Across the world, millions of men are dying too young. We're left with a choice: Do the same old thing or change.

With the Movember community backing us, we’ve been able to fund over 1,250 men's health projects in men’s mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

MENTAL HEALTH AND SUICIDE PREVENTION

The world loses a man to suicide every minute of every day. Suicide is an incredibly complex issue. But we know one thing for sure: improving overall mental health and helping men build stronger social connections can reduce the risk of suicide. Discover some of the work we’re doing to make change.

PROSTATE CANCER

We're hell-bent on finding a cure for prostate cancer. But it’s about more than a cure – it’s about improving quality of life for 10 million men around the world who are living with and beyond prostate cancer. In addition to critical biomedical research, Movember works with our global men’s health partners to break new ground. We think differently, collaborate globally and invest quickly in what works. Take a closer look at our work in prostate cancer.

TESTICULAR CANCER

Testicular cancer strikes young. Globally, it’s the most common cancer among young men. At greater than 95%, survival rates are better than good – but for some men, long-term, treatment-related side effects mean quality of life is severely affected. From medical research to straight-talking awareness campaigns and easy digital resources, we’re making leaps and bounds in testicular cancer. Check out the projects we’ve funded.
