My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

4 blokes, 4 willys, 4 egos, 6 balls and 1 prosthetic take on 10,052 feet of climbing, as we look to complete the national three peaks challenge in May 2021.

We're four friends, who for years have been in an egotistic and competitive race to out do one another. It's taken some dramatic life events to grow as a group and become a more transparent, empatheic and vulnerbale group. Between us we have faced loss, trauma, cancer, infertility and of course, the everyday pressure that the modern world throws at us.

We're proud to still be competitive, but now we help each other to the finish line before we trip one another up. The pandemic has been a positive catalyst in some weird way. We needed to stay in touch, and without the normal banter material being at hand, we started to share real feelings, real thoughts and real struggles.

Matt wants to use this moment to put a line in the sand in regards to his cancer struggles. When we reach the peak of the final climb there will be three things to set up. 1 will be a golf tee, the other will be a driver and the final thing will be his prothetic testicle (pending surgery), that will take flight in a majestic slice as a reminder that golf is not his game!

We will climb the mountains together, come down the mountains together, and use this time to raise awareness about mens mental health and testicular cancer.

Donate what you can, even just the cost of a pint will do. But the biggest thing you can do is talk and reach out to ask, "how are you?"

Who's who on the mountain:
Johnny = The oldest and supportive one in the group. Always there to lend a hand when needed.
Craig = Mr Motivator - when the chips are down we’ll be relying on Craig to spur us on.
Wayne = The determined one...sometimes you just need to grit your teeth and crack on.
Matt = The survivor - he’s already defeated cancer once...now he’s about to defeat the mountains.

getting involved

Tomorrow is Giving Tuesday!
End the month with a bang and encourage your generous friends, family and colleagues to boost your fundraising efforts on the most charitable day of the year. Why not try the Facebook Fundraiser button on your page if you haven't already done so?

Sports teams across the UK have raised almost £400,000 as I write. Leading the way for the teams are Farnham RUFC, Ironsideburns & Addix Fitness. Jamie Settle, Joe Stokes & Chris Hall head up the individual leader board. Well done all!

It's mid-month and the Mos are coming through strong. Farnham RUFC lead the way in the Sports Challenge fundraising leaderboard as I write, but where do you feature?

Don't forget to thank your donors and give potential donors an extra incentive to donate; an example of a Movember funded project, a special thanks from you, or simply because of the terrible itch your moustache is giving you. Thanks sporting Mos, we are over £200,000 raised and going strong!
