My motivation

Fundraising for cause areas including:

Mental health and suicide prevention

I’ve avoided the word suicide for so long.

During my teens, I battled various mental health conditions: depression, GAD and Anorexia Nervosa. All of which I felt ashamed to admit at the time, and still do to a certain extent.

The culmination of my battles ended in making two attempts on my life during my brief stint at university in 2018.

Not even my closest friends and family knew the extent of what went on during that particularly dark period of my life; but I found solace in reading the stories of others who had been through a similar situation & come out the other side stronger.

I have since dedicated my life & career to helping others talk about & deal with their problems through exercise as a Personal Trainer. I am determined to flip what will undoubtedly be the most challenging period of my life on its head and be used to help others relate & deal with shit going on in their life.

Movember for me is merely an extension of this; another way of spreading the love and raising awareness about something that I have had a scarily close encounter with.
