Bristol University Football Club are long term supporters of Movember, but this year their campaign has taken on a deeper meaning and importance. They will be growing their Mo's and taking on a group run in memory of one of their teammates, Olisa, who took his own life earlier this year.
Cam said: “During that month of May, the club came together incredibly well to support each other - I think it’s probably the biggest stress or strain that any of our club members have had in terms of our own mental health.”
The team are using Movember as an opportunity to take stock of what’s happened, bring the team together, and check in on everyone around them.
Niko’s, The Club’s Fundraising & Charity Secretary, message to other men is “there’s no problem that can’t be tackled, no matter what it can be solved, you can improve from it. So that’s what I’d say to any person struggling - it’s not always going to be like that, there’s always something you can do to solve a problem.”
