Meet Chris Hall, one of Movember’s Sports Ambassadors, who will be taking on the Movember 150 with you in Men’s Health Week (June 14th-20th). Chris is no stranger to taking on epic cycling challenges for charity. Last Movember, Chris took on his own marathon cycling effort; Trenching.
Trenching is a new distance based cycling challenge based around the world’s lowest point, the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean. The lowest point on Earth, it is 11,034 metres deep.
Ultimately, the challenge is to achieve this elevation in as short a time as possible.
Chris completed his Trenching Challenge for Movember taking 25hrs – 23m – 53secs of moving time, descending Box Hill in the UK 91 times. He took on the challenge on November 28th, 2020, starting at 6am and riding for more than a full day, wrapping up the following afternoon.
Why?
“Every day in the United Kingdom, approximately 13 men die by suicide each day in the UK. That’s 91 a week.”
Now Chris is saddling up for the Movember 150 and we hope you can join him on the ride. You don’t have to be a pro to ride with the best in the Movember 150.
