My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

5 years sporting a Mo, 5 years watching Movember change the world.

For me, Movember is personal.

Since I was a young boy, I've struggled with my mental health. It showed itself in lots of nasty ways for the best part of a decade. Depression, anger, anxiety, addiction, self-sabotage, disassociation. I was afraid to ask for help. It made me feel weak and scared. I thought I could just 'go it alone' or 'soldier on'. On the rare occasion I did reach out, feeling like I had finally lost the will to carry on - help wasn't always there. It felt like the world was rigged against me. Above all else, I felt lonely.

Thanks to the de-stigmatizing work of the Movember foundation, I sought help and now my life has invariably been changed for the better. Society has changed, and now we are so much better at talking. But I am one of the lucky ones.

I am 26 years old, and I've lost 3 friends to suicide. This can't bring them back, but their memory should not be in vain. We beat suicide by talking about it. By growing a moustache. By asking that mate of yours if he's okay. By making fools of ourselves. By running, cycling, dancing, boxing, skating, making, baking, laughing.

Every 60 seconds another man takes his own life. It doesn't have to be this way.

Join me in fundraising this Movember, to save another brother, father, boyfriend, husband, or son from dying too young.

Do good, Have fun.

How I'm
getting involved
Old Wandsworthians RFC
Team captain Callum Anderson
£0 Team funds raised
I am climbing Everest twice in one month, in solidarity with the struggle so many men face every day. That is 5,362 stories, or 17,697 meters to ascend. 196 stories a day. Do good, have fun.

Twas the night before Movember, when all through the land,
Not a whisker was stirring, not one single strand.
The razors were readied by the sink with care,
In hopes that a smooth-to-be face would soon be there.
The Mo Bros and Sisters were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of Mo glory ran through their heads.

Yes folks, the hairiest month of the year begins TOMORROW!!

Hopefully all the plans for your team’s campaigns are in place, and if not – there is still time to recruit, make plans and build hype. Last year the sports challenge made a serious impact, and we’re gonna do it all again this year.

BE THE DIFFERENCE IN MOVEMBER 2024!
