My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Mental health and suicide prevention

In January and February 2020, I was on the brink of giving it all up. In February I stood on platform 2 at Edgware Road Station wanting to end my life. I was persuaded out of it by my girlfriend. A few days later the pain was still real and I stood on Putney Bridge ready to jump. I was again persuaded by my girlfriend not to jump.

Globally, the rate of suicide is alarmingly high, particularly in men. Too many men are ‘toughing it out’, keeping their feelings to themselves and struggling in silence. Movember is aiming to reduce the rate of male suicide by 25% by 2030, and I want to help them get there. Help me stop men dying too young.

The Rut Podcast and I are going to raise awareness, and hopefully some cash at the same time, for this brilliant charity. We will be growing our moustaches and continuing to talk about men's mental health.

Please donate whatever you can, however small it may be.

Cheers,
James
