My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Mental health and suicide prevention

Mental health affects us all in some way at some point.
For me, it took a big turn this year.

But just like most guys I didn’t talk about how I was feeling. And the downward spiral got bigger and bigger.

It wasnt until I started to experience suicidal ideations that I realised something needed to change. But I couldn't do that alone. It was a couple of weeks of thinking and planning how I would end the pain before I actually spoke to anyone.
It took some special people and close friends to help me.
But opening up to them about how I was feeling and what was going through my head really made such a massive difference. Things that I didn't think I could talk about all came out and that sense of release was something that I never expected.

This led to me talking to a GP and a local mental health charity who both were able to give me an outside perspective. I then found myself talking to people I hardly knew about my struggles over the past 6/7 months.

Before I felt ashamed to talk about this, now I will tell anyone that will listen about how I struggled, why and what made the biggest differences.

Although I know I am not out of the woods and have some tough months ahead, I know that with the help of those around me I will be ok in the end.

Day 2

Welcome to Movember 2023 Sports Mos. Who will come out on top? Shave down, get Moving and make a difference. Whatever you do, whatever you raise. It makes a difference.

The Mo is Calling.
Check out the UK Sports Network Challenge to see how you measure up against your fellow sporting Mos across the country. We will be recognising the top 20 fundraising teams and individuals when we hit December, and we'll provide weekly updates in the hairy month as well.
Now is the time to spread the word and get as many people signed up as possible. Mo for it.
Mo HQ

It begins. For those about to Mo - however you're doing it - we salute you. Keep an eye on the UK Sports leader board. The top 20 teams and individuals will be immortalised in Movember folklore (along with some tangible rewards). It's not too late to sign up so keep growing your team and let's change the face of men's health.

2 Weeks to Mo! Welcome to the Movember UK Sports challenge. The top 20 fundraising teams will receive special recognition of their achievements at our Mo Awards and beyond, with your team's name etched into the Movember annals of history. Share your team page and grow your posse of Mo Bros & Mo Sisters. It's the best way to grow your fundraising total. If you need tips, advice and help, email oswin@movember.com. Let's do this.

Remember you have until Thursday 9th December at 10pm to get those final donations in and bump your way up that Sports Challenge leaderboard. Thank you for being a part of an amazing Movember campaign.... please watch!

123 Week(s) Ago

It's mid-month and the Mos are coming through strong. Farnham RUFC lead the way in the Sports Challenge fundraising leaderboard as I write, but where do you feature?

Don't forget to thank your donors and give potential donors an extra incentive to donate; an example of a Movember funded project, a special thanks from you, or simply because of the terrible itch your moustache is giving you. Thanks sporting Mos, we are over £200,000 raised and going strong!
