My motivation
Fundraising for cause areas including:
Men's health
Prostate cancer
Testicular cancer
Mental health and suicide prevention

Reed’s School are raising money for ‘Movember’, the charity event held in November that aims to change the face of men’s health and help address some of the biggest issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and mental health and suicide prevention. Testicular cancer is one of the most common cancers affecting 15-24 year-olds; prostate cancer claimed the lives of over 11,000 men last year alone and 1 in 8 men have experienced a mental health problem with 75% of suicides being men.

As staff at Reed’s School, our motivation to support ‘Movember’ is simple: to stop men dying too young - be that dads, brothers, husbands, sons, friends, family, fellow colleagues or – at the very worst - our pupils!

So, a team of us will be supporting 'Movember' by championing ‘the Mo’! Over the month, you will see a variety of facial hair styles sprouting forth that we hope will raise awareness of the charity, stimulate conversation and ultimately encourage donations. Over the last 2 years, Reed's School has raised over £11,000 and this year we will continue to raise money and attempt (as a School) to row, cycle, swim, walk and run around the entire length of the English Coastline - 4,500km.

Happy 30th Movember!

What an incredible month it's been, with schools across the country growing, moving and hosting for donations. Massive well done on all your amazing fundraising so far.

But it's not over yet. The leaderboards don't close until 8th December at 10pm, plenty of time to get those final donations in!
